About Naomi Krueger

Hello! My name is Naomi Krueger. I’m a writer and editor from Saint Paul, Minnesota.

As a professional, I’m a children’s book editor. As a person, I’m also a mom, a spouse, a friend, a gardener, a book worm, a serial hobbyist, and a recovering overachiever.

About Ordinary Time

Ordinary Time is a newsletter making meaning of the mundane. I write reflections on ordinary life, being human, and the beauty found in slowing down. I’m glad you’re here!

I’m writing this newsletter to pay attention more and to try to make meaning of the ordinary. I’m going to share what’s interesting to me, what I’m wondering about, and what I’m noticing. Some themes I’m likely to explore: friendship, parenting, faith, nature, intentional living, poetry, books, inspiring people, etc.

Why Call it Ordinary Time?

The majority of our time is just mundane, ordered days. Because I’m a church nerd at heart, I found some inspiration from the liturgical period between Christian seasons also called Ordinary Time, which just means ordinal or numbered time. But this isn’t a liturgical newsletter! The very loose connection to the liturgical year is as church-nerdy as this is going to get.
